Joke of the Day: Brazil vs England

Friday, June 30, 2006

Mannn.... Australia got knocked out of the World Cup by a BAD referee decision! No worries, my no. 1 team England is still in the running! But at the rate they are playing, not for long I reckon. Hopefully England can brush up on their midfields and strikers.

I got this stupid joke on my mailbox and it's actually quite funny as I reckon, describes the current form of England:

It is just before the England v Brazil match. Ronaldinho goes into the Brazilian changing room to find all his team mates looking a bit glum."What's up?" he asks.

"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only England. They're sh*t and we can't be bothered."

Ronaldinho looks at them and says, "Well, I reckon I can beat them by myself-you lads go down the pub." So Ronaldinho goes out to play England by himself and the rest of the Brazilian team go off for a few jars. After a few pints they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads:

"Brazil 1 - England 0 (Ronaldinho 10 minutes)". He is beating England all by himself!

Anyway, a few pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers, "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on." They put the tv on.

"Result from the Stadium: Brazil 1 (Ronaldinho 10 minutes) - England 1 (Lampard 89 minutes)."

They can't believe it; he has single-handedly got a draw against England!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate Ronaldinho. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sitting with his head in his hands.

He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down."

"Don't be daft, you got a draw against England, all by yourself. And they only scored at the very, very end!"

"No, no, I have, I've let you down, I've got sent off after 12 minutes.

ahh... Singapura!

Wednesday, June 21, 2006

Whoah.. my hectic holiday schedule continues! I'll be in Singapore for the next 5 days. I heard there's the Great Singapore Sale going on until the 23rd July! I reckon I won't have that much time to go shopping.

I'm hoping to meet up with some of my ex-uni mates during YC & K's wedding. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! It's been 5 years since I've completed uni...! Nonetheless, it'll be fun to see how ppl are doing.

Home Sweet Home!

Monday, June 19, 2006

Finally... back in KL! I am still trying to get adjusted to the weather... the humidity is making me feel so tired!

Oooo.. been eating lots of those Malaysian food I've missed over the past year! ::bwahahahaha::

sigh.. just noticed that all my hangout buddies are no longer living in the area. ::sigh:: It's gonna be quite boring here in KL. Few of them are working overseas now and few others moved away from TTDI.

Joke of the day: How to make money

Thursday, June 15, 2006

ahh... I am back in London! Exceptionally good weather today, max of 17 degrees celcius. Not too bad compared to 27 degrees in the last few days. Here's a good one that lightened my dull day;

A city boy, Kenny, moved to the country and bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100.00. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.

The next day the farmer drove up and said, "Sorry, Son, but I have some bad news. The donkey died."

Kenny replied, "Well, then, just give me my money back."

The farmer said, "Can't do that. I went and spent it already."

Kenny said, "OK, then just unload the donkey."

The farmer asked, "What ya gonna do with him?"

Kenny: "I'm going to raffle him off."

Farmer: "You can't raffle off a dead donkey!"

Kenny: "Sure I can. Watch me. I just won't tell anybody he is dead."

A month later the farmer met up with Kenny and asked, "What happened with that dead donkey?"

Kenny: "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a profit of $998.00."

Farmer: "Didn't anyone complain?"

Kenny: "Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars back."

Kenny grew up and eventually became the chairman of Enron.

Remember the first time you fell in Love?

Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Cardiff was exceptionally exciting. Waayy beyond my expectations. My impression was that it's gonna be a countryside town with nuthin' to do but count the cows and sheeps as they crawl by... was I wrong! The city is lively and there are more than enough activities to keep you occupied.

Anyways, I got a thought during the last few days and I think it's worth sharing. Yeah, just think of me as the wise long bearded guru on top of the mountain sharing some words of wisdom.

In a relationship, after being with someone for a long period of time... we somehow begin to take things for granted and we don't try as hard to compromise or make it up to that person. Arguments and disagreement then becomes a norm and spending time together seem like a chore.

Remember what it is like falling in love for the first time again?
- Everytime you look at her, her smile melts your heart and makes it go faster.
- Sitting so close to her that you can smell the shampoo that she uses and find her so irresistable.
- Taking a nice long stroll with her in the park, talking about everything and anything without a care in the world.
- Having coffee in the cafe with her, watching the world go by and not saying anything and it feels like you've had a great time together.
- Eating and cooking dinner together.
- Randomly picking a spot in the park and lying down on the grass beside her, watching the clouds float by.
- Cute... Waking up early just so you can see her snuggling her pillow... adorable!
- Preparing and going for picnic trips with her on the beach.
- Lying in bed just talking to her before dozing off to sleep.
- Standing next to her while washing the dishes together.
- Going on shopping trips with her and giving her opinions and toughts on dresses and being a gentlement, offering to hold her shopping bags.

On to Cardiff, Wales

Friday, June 09, 2006

Tell me about it... this is one hectic hols! Hopefully things will slow down abit in Wales. Paris was great fun! The weather was awesome... clear blue sky... but I got sunburn in Paris! Can you believe it?! After 24 years in Malaysia, I get sunburn in Paris... just walking around.

I love Paris for the structural and architectural attractions. The best is... it's all within walking distance. Will post more detailed version when I get back to KL.

Will be making a 2-trip to Paris after 3 days in London by EuroStar. So far, I've visited the Roman Bath, Stonehedge, Oxford Street and watch a musical. Very hectic... lotsa walking... and I see the similar trend when traveling to Paris.

London!

Saturday, June 03, 2006

Touch down in London late evening! Woohoo... 2 weeks of hols! I'll post a more detailed version of my trip later.

Oh... the best thing about being in London at this time is being 'in the zone' during the World Cup... No 1am games for me for the first two weeks of the tournament! muahahah... games are on at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm here...!

Nice...
