The Incredibles, Malaysian Sports and the punctuation

Tuesday, November 09, 2004

Wow, Pixar's The Incredibles took in US$70,467,623 in the US Box Office this weekend and took the second-best premiere ever for an animated film, behind Shrek 2. :) Heard that the cinemas' in Malaysia will be having limited releases (from 10/11)for The Incredibles this coming long weekend. :D See you at the long queue.

Saw from the Star this morning and eight sports have been identified by the government to receive special aid to achieve excellence on the world stage. :O

Sports identified (Scale of 1 to 5, with 5 bieng the best pick)
Badminton <- 5
bowling <- 5
gymnastics <- 3
aquatics <- 2
hockey <- 4
squash <- 5
athletics <- 4

Wait, there are only 7 sports here.. further down the article..

Football has also been included in the list because of the mass appeal and support the sport enjoyed.

I think we've already spent too much on this Monkey team. IMHO, more money doesn't mean better quality of football. Look at Iraq which did rather well in the Asian Football Tournament recently. I reckon, the government should start changing and educating our atheletes with the right mind set and right attitude. Only then will we be able to excel in the World stage.

Anwyays, on a lighter side here's a good one.

An English professor wrote the words:

"A woman without her man is nothing" on the chalkboard and asked his students to punctuate it correctly.

All of the males in the class wrote:
"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

All the females in the class wrote:
"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Punctuation is powerful.
