24 in the 90s: Pilot

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

What will 24's Jack Bauer do without technology? Blackberry, high speed Internet access, real time satellite feeds... fighting bad guys on TV has never been easier.

BUT what how did Jack Bauer did it back in the 90s? Here is CollegeHumor's "unaired 1994 pilot" episode, it involved a pager and some really bad early 90's hair. Consider yourself warned...

Preview: Prison Break Season 3

Friday, June 08, 2007

With no surprise, FOX announced a third season for its mega hit Prison Break this week. While this is not earth shattering news to the show's many fans, it does open the door for talk of just what Prison Break's third season will look like. So far, the modus for the show has been anything but consistency.

Fans were surprised when the first season seemed to satisfy the central conundrum of the show, but were thrilled when Prison Break's second season took them on a serendipitous road trip that ended with all good intentions out the window, and the brothers in as bad a spot as ever.

Mann... I was just wondering how hard is it to escape from prison? I know those tattoo on Michael Scofield's really cool but these two jokers brothers took 22 weeks to breakout of prison and 22 weeks running away from cops, FBI, bounty hunters, secret agents... and still ended up in another prison down south in another country! What a MESS!

I reckon the Michael should learn a thing or two from PARIS HILTON. It took her only 3 days to walk break out of prison and besides the paparazzi, no one else is following her around! How cool is that?!

Here's what season 3 promo should look like:

It's gonna be a short season I think...

TV: Traveler

Friday, June 01, 2007

Here's the question: How well do you know your friends? After spending every minute of the last two years living, working, and partying together, grad-school students Jay Burchell, Tyler Fog and Will Traveler depart on a cross-country road trip.

When an innocent prank at one of New York's oldest art museums coincides with the bombing of the iconic building, Jay and Tyler are conveniently blamed for the terorist attack and realize that their "friend" Will may have been the one who framed them. Unable to find Will or any evidence that the Will Traveler they knew even existed, Jay and Tyler are forced to flee the city and go on the run.

Now, hunted by the F.B.I. as domestic terorists, the friends must rely on each other to elude capture, while trying desperately to prove their innocence by answering two questions -- Who is Will Traveler? Why did he do this to them? Jay and Tyler search for clues both in the present and the past, and slowly unravel a conspiracy that involves their friends and family members and calls into question the very nature of American democracy.

The premier episode was AWESOME - well made and quite gripping, with lots of chase scenes through hotel corridors and rooftops (kinda like 24 style). It's a combination of a few proven Hollywood blockbusters such as The Fugitve, Shooter, Enemy of the State and combining with the cast chemestry of Supernatural and a lil' bit of that Lost flashback formula will make this tense thriller a surprise hit!

Drive: TV Series

Tuesday, April 24, 2007

The next time you're cut off by a crazed driver on your way to work, cut him a little slack. He could be racing for his life.

"Drive" is an action-fueled drama following a diverse group of Americans driving for their lives (or the lives of their loved ones) in a sinister, cross-country road race. Some of them have been coerced into joining The Race; others have sought out The Race themselves, hearing rumors of the $32-million prize. Each has a reason to compete. And each must win for their own personal reasons.

The twist is... the group does not know exactly whom they're racing against, or even where the finish line is.

With each mile clocked, the drivers get closer - not only to the end of the road and a critical, life-changing victory, but to understanding the mystery behind The Race itself.

Yeah.. think of it as a cross between The Amazing Race and Fast and Furious. If the plot holds, I reckon this series will be a success...
