Man Utd wins Club World Cup
Monday, December 22, 2008
Bwahahah...! Wayne Rooney scored in the second half Sunday to lead 10-man Manchester United of England to a 1-0 victory over Liga de Quito of Ecuador in the final of the Club World Cup in Yokohama, Japan.
Rooney, who earned player of the tournament honors, took a pass from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 73rd minute and connected on a right-footed blast into the bottom corner that beat Liga goalkeeper Jose Cevallos.
Looks like mission accomplished in Japan! Actually... a good year for Man Utd!

World Club Cup: Gamba Osaka 3 - 5 Man Utd
Friday, December 19, 2008
Wayne Rooney came off the bench and scored twice in a four-minute span to lead Manchester United over Japan’s Gamba Osaka 5-3 on Thursday and into the final of the Club World Cup.
The European champions will play South American champions Liga de Quito in Sunday’s final.
The English Premier club’s first-half goals came in identical fashion, with Ryan Giggs corners from the right headed home by Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic and European Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gamba cut the margin to 2-1 when Masato Yamazaki scored in the 74th minute, which sparked a flurry of goals.
United made it 3-1 as Rooney scored with his first touch of the ball in the 75th minute. He chested down a pass from at the edge of the area, shook off a defender and shot across the advancing keeper. Darren Fletcher made it 4-1 in the 78th before Rooney scored again. Gamba added to goals in the final five minutes, including one on a penalty kick by Yasuhito Endo.
A surprisingly entertaining match!

All Rise for King Becks!
Sunday, November 25, 2007
Former England captain David Beckham arrived in Australia on Sunday to join his LA Galaxy team preparing for the friendly match against A-League side Sydney FC on Tuesday.
Beckham and the Galaxy squad were presented to the crowd during halftime of today's A-League match between Sydney and Queensland Roar... which ended in a boring draw.

Here's a pic of Becks I manage to capture with my trusty Nikon! Really, he just came out wave a little... and that was it. Well, I guess we will hafta wait till Tuesday to see him in action.
The match on Tuesday at Sydney's Olympic Stadium will also be Gullit's first in charge of the Major League Soccer team since being appointed this month. A sell-out crowd of 80,000 is expected to attend the game.

Man Utd crowned champions as Chelsea draw at Arsenal
Monday, May 07, 2007
Manchester United won the Premiership for the first time in four years on Sunday as 10-man Chelsea, needing victory to keep the title race alive, could only draw 1-1 at Arsenal. This would mean that Sir Alex Ferguson has won his ninth Championship trophy as Manchester United manager. Earlier today, Manchester United led the Premiership champions by eight points before the Blues kicked off in north London, with Gilberto Silva putting the home side up in the first half from the penalty spot.
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech looks at the ball in his goal after Arsenal's Silva scored his penalty during their Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium, London.
Chelsea pulled a goal back, with a second-half strike from Michael Essien, but it wasn't enough to stay in the fight for the Premiership title.

Frank Lampard (left) of Chelsea is watched by Francesc Fabregas of Arsenal.
United have now clinched their first Premiership title since 2003 as they have an unassailable lead of seven points games left - away to Chelsea and their last match of the season, at home to West Ham United.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho embraces John Terry and Frank Lampard after conceding the EPL title to Manchester United with a 1-1 draw at Arsenal.
Jose Mourinho’s side now only have the FA Cup final - on May 19 against Manchester United at the new Wembley Stadium - for their only chance of adding to their silverware this season (having won the League Cup), with the added sting of having to form a guard of honour in front of their own fans when they face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Thusday morning! bwahahahaha!
On eBay: Goalkeeper Dida
Sunday, April 29, 2007
An angry AC Milan fan has put Brazil goalkeeper Dida up for sale on the internet ahead of next week's Champions League semi-final return with Manchester United. The 33-year-old, who joined Milan in 2000, was a hero after the shootout win over Juventus in the 2003 Champions League final, but his popularity has slumped after a series of errors.

He was criticised following last week's 3-2 first-leg defeat to United at Old Trafford, when he flapped a Cristiano Ronaldo header into his own net and then left his near post exposed for Wayne Rooney to blast home a stoppage-time winner.
It's unlikely the internet exposure will do much for his ego either. Dida failed to attract great interest on eBay.
The price, before the Brazilian international was removed from the auction site on Friday, had reached just 71 euros (about $116.50) after 25 bids.
bwahahaha!
WHAT A DISASTROUS WEEKEND!
Monday, January 22, 2007
What a disastrous weekend! Hahaha.. Qld Roar needed a victory to guarantee a maiden finals berth while Sydney FC simply required a draw. Final score was Qld Roar 1 vs 1 Sydney FC.
Looks like Sydney FC leapfrogs the gutted Qld Roar into the final four thanks to a superior goal difference. To make things worst, Arsenal came from behind to beat Manchester United with two late goals at the Emirates Stadium.
Sub van Persie had cancelled out Rooney's early first-half strike with just seven minutes left, before

Despite their defeat in north London, United remain six points clear of Chelsea in second place and 12 ahead of Arsenal, who are fourth. Looks like it's gonna be an exciting few months!
Two Excellent Match!
Saturday, January 20, 2007
What a weekend this is gonna be... 2 excellent football matchup for the next 2 days, Queensland Roar vs Sydney FC and Manchester Utd vs Arsenal.Yups, the A-League reaches its climax with 2 remaining teams fighting for a final berth for the grand final playoffs (yups, football here is abit different than that of English Premier League). So... it's a win or nuthin' for Qld Roar. I'll be heading down to the stadium and bringing my trusty camera along to capture the action.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Arsenal square up to each other for the 200th time in a competitive contest, in what's been billed many times as a "Battle of the Titans". While the Man Utd are going all out for their first Premiership crown in four seasons, the Gunners are lagging some 15 points behind and battling to gain one of the two Champions League qualifying spots.

2 interesting matchup this weekend...! What else can you ask for?
